How the year comes together
Four steps, in order
Most families go from a long list to a short one, then to the dates, then to the forms. Each step has its own page here.
Step 1: Explore
See every school, filter by what matters to you and look at where each one is.
Step 2: Shortlist and compare
Keep the ones you like and set them side by side. Then ask the questions their websites don't answer.
Step 3: Dates
Israel fairs, information evenings, deadlines and answer days, with times where you live and calendar files.
Step 4: Apply
Most schools use one joint application; others have their own forms. Track each one to the deposit.
Where to start
Seven ways to begin
Choose the one thing that matters most. More filters are waiting on the next page.
אֶרֶץ חִטָּה וּשְׂעֹרָה וְגֶפֶן וּתְאֵנָה וְרִמּוֹן אֶרֶץ־זֵית שֶׁמֶן וּדְבָשׁ
A land of wheat and barley, of vines, figs and pomegranates, a land of olive oil and honey.
One beginning for each of the seven species of the Land.
Students and parents
Whether you are going or sending
Students and parents both read this guide, and each comes with different questions. Start with the half that is yours.

If you are the student
Begin with the year you want, not the name everyone is talking about. Filter by how you like to learn, keep a shortlist, and see your choices next to each other.

If you are a parent
Sending a daughter across the world asks a great deal of you. Here is where to find official safety information, what to ask a school before you say yes, and what the year costs.

The year ahead
Nothing is due tomorrow
For students in 12th grade now, applications for fall 2027 are due in early December and answers arrive in February. There is time to look properly, to speak with students who have been, and to visit Israel night without hurrying.
These are the dates schools and fair organisers have published for the 2027-28 year. Each school sets its own.

By the numbers
What the schools publish
Counted from the 38 listings on this site, each read on the school's own website. Where a number isn't here, it's because the schools don't put it online.
Where they are
How many apply, and how many get in? Seminaries don't publish applicant numbers or acceptance rates, so we don't show any. What to do instead.
Counts from the listings, checked 2 and 3 October 2026; deadlines checked 12 October 2026.

דְּרָכֶיהָ דַרְכֵי־נֹעַם וְכׇל־נְתִיבוֹתֶיהָ שָׁלוֹם

Our standard
Where the information comes from
Every fact on a seminary's listing was read on that school's own website on 2 and 3 October 2026, and each listing links to the pages we used. Where a school's site doesn't say something, the listing says so instead of guessing.
We describe each school's religious outlook in the school's own words only. We don't rank, score or review schools, and no school pays to appear here.
Work at a seminary, or spotted a mistake?
Schools change staff, dates and prices every year. If something here is out of date, or your seminary isn't listed, tell us and we'll correct it. There's no form: one click opens an email with the questions filled in.
